2019 and Newer Seats for Chieftain / Elite / Limited / Springfield Dark Horse
These are 2-piece systems. The driver seat can be used solo or in combination with the Ultimate passenger seat for 2-up riding.
Our Reduced Reach Seat
Our Indian® Chief® Reduced Reach seat is designed so you sit in the seat, not on the seat. Our Reduced Reach seat will sit you 1 1/2" closer to the handlebars than the stock O.E.M. seat and retains the stock seating height. The driver section of the seat is 16 inches wide. If in your riding position on the stock seat your reach to the handlebars leaves you with no bend in your elbows then you need our Reduced Reach seat. This position will give you a much more comfortable ride and more control of your motorcycle.
Our Midrider Seat
Our Indian® Chief® Midrider seat is designed so you sit in the seat, not on the seat. Our Midrider seat will sit you 1/2" closer to the handlebars than the stock O.E.M. seat and retains the stock seating height. The driver section of the seat is 16 inches wide. Our Midrider seat will suit you if your reach in the riding position on your stock seat gives you some bend in your elbows.
Our Tall Boy Seat
Our Indian® Chief® Tall Boy seat is designed so you sit in the seat, not on the seat. Our Tall Boy seat will sit 1/2" further back from the handlebars than the stock O.E.M. seat and retains the stock seat height. The driver section of our seat is 16 inches wide. If you are tall or too close to the handlebars in your riding position on the stock seat then our Tallboy seat will suit you.
Note: Due to the fact that our seating area is slightly higher on the outsides, with more dish than the stock seat to be more supportive many customers feel that it is higher than the stock seat - even though the center of the seat is the same ride height, our seating area design shape creates the ride comfort we are known for.
Ultimate Passenger Seat
The Ultimate Indian® Chief® passenger seat is 12 inches wide with comfort to spare. Our Chief® passenger seat was designed to fit with the Indian® Quick Release Sissy Bar, however it is too long to be used with the Indian® Quick Detach Trunk. Since the Ultimate Chief® seat was designed as a 2-piece system, we offer an optional matching passenger seat which is shorter and wider that can be used in combination with the Ultimate driver seat and will accomodate the Indian® Quick Detach Trunk.
The stock Indian® passenger seat will not work with the Ultimate driver seat. The stock Indian® driver seat will not work with the Ultimate passenger seat
Heated Seat Option
For the Chief®, we offer both heated and non-heated seats. Heated seats plug into the factory Indian® accessory plug on the Chief®. There are two separate switches that control front and rear independently
Ultimate Removable Driver Backrest
All Ultimate Indian® Chief® seats have the driver backrest hardware built into them, so you can add the backrest at any time. The driver backrest quickly and easily slides in and out with a built in spring loaded plunger lock that is part of the backrest hardware permanently mounted inside the seat.
- Pad measures 7" high by 10" wide by 1.5" thick.
- Built using the same memory foam as our seats.
- Infinite tilt to match your back angle.
- Backrest folds down forward for easily mounting and dismounting your bike.
- Adjustment forward and back is more than 2 inches.
- Adjusts with a thumb screw while you're riding.
- No need to remove the seat or use a wrench.
- Includes zipper storage pouch that velcros to the back of the backrest.
Detachable storage pouch measures 9"W x 6"H and is protected by the driver backrest built in rain flap.
Ultimate Sissy Bar Pad
The large Ultimate sissy bar pad is 12" wide and 8" high. We have engineered the pad with the correct back angle and thickness. This gives your passenger more room and comfort, which helps to elminate back fatigue on long rides. The Ultimate sissy bar pad bolts right on to your Indian® sissy bar. We also manufacture sissy bar pads that will fit other aftermarket sissy bars.
Note: If you have the Indian® Concert Audio Kit (Part# 2879816) installed, the amp must be relocated from the factory suggested mounting location.
