It's ok if you choose to post this review. I ride a 2007 Honda VTX "R".
First of all, I'd like to thank you and Amanda for your help during and after my purchase of a 4 Piece Ultimate Lowrider.
I've now put just over 5,000 miles on the bike with the new seat. Many days were over 500 miles per day while on a trip.
My reason for getting a new seat is that my wife was very uncomfortable on the aftermarket seat that was on our VTX when we bought it.
I thought I was as comfortable as a person could be on the seat that we had until Ultimate entered our life.
I can definitely say that after owning around 10 motorcycles which included Gold wings and Ultra Glides, the Ultimate is the most comfortable seat I've every had.
My wife is also much more comfortable on the Ultimate seat which has made our riding much more enjoyable, allowing us to ride several days in a row with comfort.
Again, thanks for a great product.

It was great working with you and your company. First, via the emails I had with you, they were informative and it was great having my questions answered....quickly mind you even during the busy bike events happening around you last week! You took the time to look at the photos I sent along to help address my saddlemen saddlebag fit issues. (It fit great btw!) Amanda was also great in helping me fill my order over the phone. She went above and beyond for me when I placed my order. I had to have the seat soon and she checked to make sure it was in stock and that someone in the Florida office got it shipped out the same day I called to ensure my overnight delivery came before the weekend!! Sure enough, that all happened! Thanks to you both!

2005 VTX1800 C Seat
WOW.....really....I could just say that! I love the seat position compared to my last after market seat. It helped the pain in my knees and tailbone. The seat was very comfortable. Over the weekend, I put probably 200-250 miles on it. No pain in the tailbone and knees. I couldn't believe how comfortable the ride was. I wish I had this seat the weekend I rode to the bay area and back (1200 plus miles!)

The install was great and fit my 05 perfectly. I've had issues with my bike from other after market seat manufacturers. One of them had no idea the pan / tank changed on the 05 models. None of their documentation or catalogs mentioned anything about it. I got your seat and it fit perfectly, I was very pleased!

this years ago, and I am pleased when I did decide to get a better seat, I
chose yours.

Thanks mate for a fine product. Went for a ride to try out the bigboy with the backrest and covered 400km and noticed the difference straight away. Went on nice and easy too. My first chioce was the saddleman vtxsolo seat because i was buying through CC but CC sent me the wrong seat and being from Australia its too much money for me to send back so i looked elsewhere for a seat, and so glad i did. Your site said delivery in 10 days and the seat was here in 10 days. Very Happy that you returned all my emails the very next day. Great customer service and a great product. I would recommend these seats to anyone looking for comfort because there it nothing worse than having to stop because your bum needs a break or your back for that matter. My new seat fixed both.

Wanted to drop a line to let you and your staff know what I think about the seat I received Friday may 6th 2011. The back story is I was on a competitor’s seat for about 7000 miles before pulling the trigger on an Ultimate. On “that” seat I could ride 30-40 miles and I was ready to quit! I am young (31) but a big guy (6’0 255) and have a bad back (4 bulging disks and arthritis) I love to ride and was so disappointed I couldn’t ever enjoy my bike! So after much debate I finally pulled the trigger on a Midrider Plain with Driver Backrest and no LOGO stitching thx to the reviews on VTXOA.com and a buddy who has one on his VTX 1300C. I also must say your staff was very helpful and patient with me when I called and e-mailed with questions. When the seat was delivered to my work I was so excited I had to leave to go home and put it on! The seat and backrest went on my bike very easy and as soon as I sat down to ride the 35 miles back to work I knew I had made the right choice, I put close to 200 miles on the seat the first day and in the last two weeks I have 600-700 miles on the seat, it just keeps getting better! I don’t know how I ever made it before without a backrest! I do wish you made a Bigboy for my model of bike (06 VTX 1300C) just because I would like to be about an inch farther back, but that’s just me being nitpicky LOL. I used to have to stick to riding in town and dreaded riding 35 miles to work because of my back and butt, now I want to ride cross county! Your seats have made riding enjoyable again, so thank you to you and your staff, you don’t call them ULTIMATE for nothing!

I just ordered the Low Rider Passenger seat for my '04 VTX 1300C. I currently have the driver's Low Rider and absolutely LOVE IT! My wife doesn't ride, so I'm getting this to make her bottom feel as comfortable as possible for when she does. I'm sure it will be one less thing to worry about while riding with me. I can't wait to put this on the bike.

I just got the backrests for both of us for our anniversary and let me tell you....... those made a great ride even better!!!

Dear Des & Leslie,

First and foremost, thank you again for the personal attention to detail and for taking the time to install everything for us this Saturday. I am sure you have a lot on your table with the Daytona Bike Week next week and yet you personally worked with me and our Honda VTX with Saddlemen bags to get a working fit for the Ultimate Seats and my extended my risers to be sure my ride would be both comfortable and safe.

Our goal on Saturday was to see if your Ultimate seat would help make the ride more comfortable for my wife Kathy. Over the past two year we have tried a gel pad ($100) and the more expensive AirHawk pad ($170). Both of these pads did help at first try, but after 60-80 miles she would experience nerve pain and leg numbness. I seemed that no matter how often we stopped once the pain set in the rest of the trip would be very uncomfortable for her and often took away from the joy of the ride/trip and preventing her from joining me for many of our longer Southern Cruiser Riding Club trips.

My stock Honda seat was never an issue, although I had recently bruised my tailbone in a fall making riding the bike these past two weeks miserable riding the bike, even when I used your AirHawk pad

I had called earlier and verified with Leslie that we could try the seats without obligation and we set out from St Augustine to head over before bike week to test them and if not significantly different for Kathy, give up on trying the longer rides.

Upon arrival, Leslie greeted us with a smile and took the time to show us the options and get us set up quickly to test out the entire pack for our VTX 1800 - low rider w/studs for rider and passenger, rider back rest, passenger sissy bar pad and handlebars. I wasn’t sure about the back rest and figured I would try it, but didn’t want one.

Once set and and on our way, Kathy noticed the difference immediately. I wasn’t as thrilled as the seat set me back more, the back rest felt uncomfortable at first and when stopped my leg position wad different putting pressure on my inner thigh while standing the bike up. One significant difference was – my bruised tailbone, no pain, no matter how I sat, the tailbone was comfortable on the entire ride down to Ponce Inlet to test the seats and the entire ride back.

When we returned, we thought we would wait and check out some other options before deciding on purchasing these to be sure. You never raised an issue, went to work changing our seats back and reinstalling our original equipment and thanked us for trying your seats.

Des, I got on our bike, started to leave, and before I could reach J&P cycles my tailbone was killing me and I was concerned that I would have to stop riding the bike for the 4 – 6 weeks my doctor said it would take for it to heal. I stopped the bike, looked at my wife Kathy and said I want to go back and get the seats if they haven’t closed up (it was already after closing hours for you).

We turned around, pulled in and met you in your office, you graciously went back to the warehouse, took the time to reinstall everything and added the handlebar extensions for me, adjusting everything to make my ride safe and comfortable. Kathy went and returned the Airhawk at J&P while I watched you do your magic. The ride home up I-95 was a wonderful, comfortable ride and we were able to go out with our friends and my tailbone never hurt at any time on your seat.

To anyone who is thinking of trying the Ultimate seat and have had bad experiences with other stores and vendors – forget your past experiences as this is truly an honest, fair, friendly, family business who are totally focused on helping you have the best riding comfort in your life. No sales pressure, no false promises, no negative attitude should you test them and decide they are not for you.

I highly recommend Ultimate Seats and will gladly give my endorsement and referrals to all I meet on the rode.

Six months ago I received the midrider seat for my VTX 1800F. It was such as I had ordered it and it's very very beautiful. I made 5000km since and it is very comfortable, especially for the back. We do not feel sliding towards the back in the starting up: it maintains us well. But the person who likes this seat is my wife who agrees now to come with me. With the original seat she refused. Furthermore she finds its very original design, much more that other seat than we find on the market

For everything those who one VTX F or C I recommend it strongly. I join some photo with this e-mail.

I just wanted to drop you a line to say how fantastic your seats are!

I bought my VTX1300R secondhand from a lovely lady in Florida and was very fortunate that she'd already had the full 4-piece Lowrider outfit fitted. I've had the bike for 3 years now and love every minute & thousands of miles I've clocked up, both here in England (UK) and through France, Spain, the Pyrenees and Andorra in Europe, a 2-week 2000+ mile trip in '08, bike fully laden and no sore back or butt. In fact, before I set off on the trip I stocked up on painkillers as my lower back was in a bad way through work, but after a couple of days I was riding pain free! My chiropractor couldn't get over the difference in me and then I showed her the bike - when she sat on it she enthused about how comfortable the seat was and said it was just what I needed (like I didn't already know...)

Many, many thanks from a grateful English lady, I'd recommend Ultimate to anyone!

Des, I love the new Ultimate Big Boy seats. We ran a poker run route this past weekend we had done in the spring on the stock seats. On the stocks I was so sore halfway through the route I could hardly walk. This time on the Ultimates I was so comfortable I nearly fell asleep and at the end I was still ready to go riding some more and whats more, no butt soreness at all!!! . The next day I was full of energy and not fatigued like I usually am after a weekend of riding. Had a passenger rider on the other VTX with us on the poker run and she was on the stock seat, she too complained of being butt sore halfway through the poker run, so it wasn't just me that felt sore on the stock seat. I showed the Ultimate seats to our local Honda dealership before we installed them and they were so impressed with them they contacted you right away to see if they could sell them too! A few days later I asked them if they had heard back from you after giving them the info to get in touch with you and they said yes and they had already sold Ultimate seats to two people! This seat sure has made riding as a passenger much more enjoyable...to me they are worth a million bucks! Probably made my husband happy to feel no more squirming or making frequent stops to get the soreness out of my butt. He loves his new Ultimate seat too, especially the way it gives his tailbone support.

Just wanted to let you know you have another extremely satisfied customer. I purchased the Bigboy for my VTX1800R and it is awesome. I put a 100 miles on it the first day and I was more comfortable than I have ever been. I have had several different bikes and a few seats (incl. a another major aftermarket manufacturer), but your seat is by far the best. Everything you say it will it do from comfort to positioning was right on. Additionally, my wife injured her tailbone as a kid and has never been able to ride for more than 15-20 minutes before she is in pain. We took a 1hr ride the other day to test it out and she loved it. She said the passenger seat is more comfortable than most car seats she's sat in. Only problem, now I need to order one of your backrests for her as well - oh well(lol). Finally, your customer service was top notch. Overall you sell an outstanding product/service.

I ordered my Ultimate Seats Big Boy, and delivery was prompt, even with the special embroidery (The Standing Wolf looks AWESOME in blue). At once I noticed the difference in the comfort level. In my butt’s opinion, the stock VTX seat is approximately a 230-250 mile seat. More than that many miles in one day, and things got a bit uncomfortable for me. After installing the Big Boy, I immediately noticed a difference. I thought to myself, “Now THIS is a 500-mile seat!”. Well, the proof is in the ride, as they say. This past weekend, I rode from South Jersey, to Hamilton, Ohio (just past Cincinnati). The trip covered 600 miles each way. The seat performed wonderfully. After 13 hours, I gotta admit, I was a little fatigued getting off of the bike. I had been stuck in 3 different traffic jams, so the trip took much longer than I expected. Coming home was another story. I did the entire trip in 10 hours. I felt like I could have ridden another 300 miles if I had to. I had literally no fatigue or soreness what-so-ever. I actually took my FireBlade (sport-bike) out for a couple of hours, soon after arriving home. Your seat has made a huge difference on my VTX (and on my butt)!! I’ll be riding out to California, next year. The group I’m riding with will be traveling 500 miles each day. Wimps!

These seats are fairly expensive but in my opinion probably the very best upgrade a person can make on his machine. Wooo Hooo! I got my new seat yesterday (thanks for the tracking number). I'm 6'6" and 350lbs. My ass started to fall asleep after about 30 miles on the stock seat due to pressure on my tailbone area. I could go about 50 miles before really needing to stop and walk around a bit. Just to try it out, I rode about 80 miles yesterday without stopping and my ass didn't even start to go numb! I stopped for gas and didn't even stand up it was so comfortable! Thanks for making a seat for us big guys!

Thanks for building such a wonderful seat! I had my doubts before I ordered your seat for my VTX but it completely cured my sore tail bone after riding for 50 miles or more. I can ride all day now with no tail bone discomfort. I can't say enough how comfortable your Big Boy seat is. The only mistake I made in ordering was not ordering the red stitching to go with my red bike, but as comfortable as the seat is, I can live with the silver stitching. thanks again for a great product that is worth every penny that I paid.

How anybody could ride on any other seat is beyond me. I tried the other seat made by M _ _ _ _ _ g, it went back the very next day! That's when I called you. Am I glad that I did!! Just wanted to take a minute while the snow is STILL flying here in upstate NY and say thanks for a quality product!

I had a Mustang seat on my last bike and wanted to wait for the Ultimate after hearing rave reviews on the Delphi Forums VTX Riders Forum. Your Ultimate Lowrider for the 1300C hasn't let me down. The padding in the seat seems to almost make it feel like your riding on air. And also that extra little push forward from the sacroiliac support in the rider's seat is just enough to relieve fatigue in the arms. Before the Ultimate Lowrider the bottom of my right arm from my elbow to my shoulder would go numb on 100 mile rides.

Not to be forgotten my wife sends her support and thanks as well with the widest and most comfortable aftermarket seat out there. It was definitely worth the wait and warrants my endorsement any time.

have to tell you, the people at Ultimate seats, are really great. I ordered a new Lowrider seat for my 1800 Retro, in February, had it made with leather and blue stitching, really like the looks of it, but rode my bike the first time this past weekend, since I got the new seat. it really felt like I was sitting on the gas tank, I'm just to close to the tank. But since there guarentee says, they only cover workmen ship on custom seats, like mine, thought I would have to live with it. I e-mailed them today, just to see if they could modify mine in some way, heard right back from Dean there, told me to send my Lowrider back and they would replace it with a Big Boy seat. You all know how important customer service is, and it seems like the people at Ultimate Seats do also. They got my business from now on. Would encourage anyone wanting a new seat to at least take a look at Ultimate seats. I don't have any experience with the other manufactures of seats, to compare them with, just know I'm happy with Ultimate.

Two years and 28 days is two years and 28 days tooooo long to ride on the Retro stock seat...............

My Ultimate "Big Boy" arrived today, installed in a minute and I was gone for the first test ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 10 seconds on "MY NEW BIKE", all I can say is... IT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I only got to ride down to the gas station and back (it's still cold here) but I can only imagine how comfortable this would have been on the ride to California last August.... makes me want to ride to Daytona, right now!!!!!!

It does lift me just a bit.... but it's well worth it so far!!!! It doesn't push me forward like the "Standard" Ultimate does... but I don't feel any further away from the handle bars. I actually feel a little more upright, less slouch in my back, better back support, better riding position and oh, so cushy........

I can't wait to get it out for a long day's ride!!! If I get to ride to Tucson in a couple of weeks as planned, it's gonna be a tough decison on which bike to take!!!!!!

So if you've been thinking about the "Ultimate" but don't want to be more forward..... go large - go Big-Boy !!!!!!!!!!

Wanted you to know, I received my 4 piece Ultimate BigBoy Seat set and am so very pleased with how wonderful a product you have provided for me...and my tush. I installed the seats/backrests with ease, just as you stated it would be. Although I didn't have the opportunity to ride until a week after putting them on, once I did, I put over 100 miles on with absolutely no discomfort at all. The riders seat provides me with the room I've needed and the backrest is an awesome feature which gives that added support, whether on short or long rides. Here is a couple of pics of my wife's VTX with her new seat on it. We just got back last week from a 1700 miles trip from Ohio down to Deal's Gap, The Smokey Mount. National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our first day ride was 410 miles and our return ride was 460 miles in one day, with all the other rides of at least 200 miles or more. Her seat performed GREAT! It fits her well and as you can see by the pictures it looks GREAT too! By the way, my Ultimate big boy did a fantastic job too! Seats arrived fine, and they look great. I must say, your quality looks as good as any I've seen. The acid test will hopefully come this weekend, when "the boss" gets a ride. I'll let you know how it goes. Until then, here is a picture so you can see how the finished product looked installed.

This is Don Hicks in Tampa (Wesley Chapel) FL. Have had the seats now about
two months and they are great. Took some pictures and though you might want to see what they looked like on a 03' Candy Red (The Fast Type) VTX 1800 C. These are with the Honda Line sissy bar and your pad.

Well when i asked about your seat you were very good about telling me i was to big and to tall for your seat. but you said try it if you want. Listen this is harry gunzel from chipley florida.Ii weigh 275 and am 6 foot 2 tall. well i will tell you this you cant have the seat back. It fits just to well. the stock seat on that 1300 vtx retro was bad. If i could ride 50 miles it was a wonder. And i had to force myself to stay on the bike for 50 miles. I havent really taken any long trips yet but 100 miles is no problem. then a short rest and back the 100 miles. so if i can ride these may miles and no problem whats there to worry about. i just wanted to say a job well done and a very fine product. i will be sending for the back rest soon for the sissy bar. also when i got the seat on it took about 15 minutes and was all installed. and one other thing with the seat and back rest i feel like one with the bike not just siting on the seat. it gave me far more control of the machine than the stock seat. also just to prove this i had other people ride the bike and tell me the samething. so again thanks for a fine seat and i will tell others. a very thankful 51 year old gray haired biker. no more sore ass at 15 miles
