Russel, Des,
I went to leave feedback on your web site but only way
to do it was Facebook and I'm too stubborn to use it.
So just wanted you to know my thoughts on the new tallboy
seat for my HD Tri Glide.
I'm 6'3" and had lower back surgery earlier. The
stock HD seat was very uncomfortable for me and I felt
like my knees were hitting my chin. When I took my feet
off the highway pegs and moved them to the floorboards,
I immediately slid forward. 30-45 minutes was about
all I could ride without pain in my lower back.
I then tried the HD Tall Boy seat that moves you back
2". I did not get 10 miles down the road and I
was in pain. Slid forward worse on it than the stock
seat and just plain uncomfortable.
Your new tallboy seat was the best thing thats happened
for me. Not only can I stretch out, I do not slide forward.
I have gone for over 2 hours at a time the past weeks
and no pain and no stiffness when I climb off.
The only problem I had was having to wait all summer
for you to get it out but I am certainly glad I waited.
Let me know if you want any other info from me. I would
be glad to be a reference for you.

Howdy... Just wanted to say that the seat I bought
for my 2010 Fatboy this
year felt great on a trip we took from Central Texas
to Key West, FL. It
was about 3200 miles and my butt was very comfy the
whole trip. Y'all
make a great product and it is truely comfortable on
long rides. I
recommend it everywhere I run into people that travel
on their bikes and
need some rear-end relief. Great job!

I bought a new 2012 Road King about
four weeks ago. Before even getting the bike, I had
purchase a complete rider, pillion, and both backrest,
set of seats for it. I had a Yamaha Road Star that I
put 34,000 miles on prior to buying the Road King. I
had put an Ultimate seat on the Road Star shortly after
I purchased it, and loved it. I knew I wanted the Ultimate
seats on the new Harley. I now have a little over 2200
miles on the Road King and the new seats, and it is
just as comfortable as my first Ultimate seat on the
Road Star. I took an 800 mile ride the week after my
1000 mile service to see how the new seats would do.
And yes sir, they passed the test without any back pain
or real fatigue from the ride. Thank you guys! Also,
the guy at the Harley dealership was impressed that
had I brought my own seats. He said he had seen Ultimate
seats but never sat on or ridden on them. I invited
him to sit on it. He did, and he was impressed again!!
So thank you again for a great set of seats and I may
have converted someone to your seats, from the Mustang
seat!! Jim

Dear Des
this message is long overdue, I purchased the then new
one piece Ultimate Seat for my 2009 Harley Roadglide
(I believe I may have been the first). Last year I put
on 14,000 touring kms, mostly solo. I typically
log 600 to as much as 1,000 kms per day, solo
without any discomfort. The seat has been a huge improvement,
but I have learned to just shut up and let my wife speak
from her perspective. She cannot believe that a seat
could make such an improvement to her touring pleasure.
She rides as a passenger to HOG Rallies with me, usually
600 to 700kms days. As you stated, the seat sits you
about 1 inch lower, I also purchased the passenger backrest
and she enjoys this as well. I had evaluated the others
on the market, but I am so happy I selected the Ultimate.
Thank you for the great service, and even better product.

thanks for everything. The seat arrived this morning

Des,
Now that I've had several saddle-hours already to evaluate
the seats I must say they are even more than I expected.
The rider seat is firm and supportive, and the pocket
formed by the low back support improves my riding posture.
Pictures included.
Thanks again,
Rob

I bought my 2010 HD Electra glide in
August after riding a Yamaha Roadstar with a Mustang
seat for 8 years. I thought the stock seat was great
until I rode the bike more than 30 minutes and I would
get very sore. Very disappointed that a top line cruiser
would have such an uncomfortable seat...Too soft and
too much give! I was worried my dream bike was going
to be a $20,000 plus disappointment! I debated between
the Ultimate seat and the Mustang seat but decided to
purchase the Ultimate 2 piece based on a referral from
a client in November. I was concerned the seat was not
available in leather but when I opened the box I was
immediately impressed by the quality of the vinyl. MUCH
better that my Mustang seat and don't miss leather at
all. Installation was easy even though it was the first
time I removed my seat. As soon as I sat on the seat
I was sold. I was immediately impressed by how much
better control I had on the bike when backing it up
and it also translated to riding. (I am 6'1" and
weigh 190 lbs) The seat really made me feel like I had
more control on the bike. I attribute this to much less
give and better design. This seat is not too hard like
you would find on a Corbin. It has just the right amount
of give to it. My first ride was 4 hours over 160 miles
and had no issues. Since that ride I have put over 600
miles and could not have made a better decision on the
seat.
Now I just need to decide if the driver backrest will
make it even better.
Thank goodness for the referral or I would have bought
another seat without knowing the Ultimate Seat was out
there!

I have owned a 2010 Harley Ultra Classic
since August of this year. The stock seat was very uncomfortable.
I rode if from Broken Arrow, OK to Columbia, MO, about
350 miles each way. At first I had to get off the bike
about every 70 miles. Towards the end of the ride it
was getting very uncomfortable at about 50 miles. After
that trip I purchased an AirHawk seat cushion and used
it on my trip from Broken Arrow to Boise Idaho, 3200
miles round trip. The AirHawk helped, but still no cigar
for what I was looking for. I purchased an Ultimate
seat and received it on November 2nd 2010. I installed
it that evening. The installation process took me about
30 minutes. It would have been shorter if I had not
left my socket and ratchet under the seat on top of
the battery. Oh well such is life. I loaded up the next
morning for a ride from Broken Arrow, OK to Pittsburg,
KS, which is about 150 miles. I was able to ride the
distance without getting off once. Something I would
not have been able to do in the past on my old seat.
The cut of the seat does change my riding posture and
position. It kept me in the seat just as promised and
not on the seat. The old seat allowed me to slide forward
too much and I developed pretty intense pain in my tailbone.
While the Ultimate seat kept me in position, it did
produce a slight amount of tailbone pressure, but not
enough to make me stop and get off. In fact after a
while it almost went away. I truly believe I have the
seat that will allow me to ride a full tank of
gas before I have to get off.
Thanks Ultimate. Great product!

I bought mine Last July and have put 10000 miles in the
seat with my girlfriend 5000 in hers. I have a 2004 Fatboy
and would recommend the seat to anyone. Man what a difference.
You will stop for fuel before you stop for a butt break.
I just bought a Eltra Glide Classic and will be getting
one for it. Best Seat made bar none. Do you give discounts
for repeat customers.

DES
I looked and sat on all different seats trying to find something that fit
me, then I found Ultimate seats. Before I would ride 30 minutes or so and
was ready to get off my factory seat. Now I can ride all day without my
tailbone hurting. I have had mine for over a year & 14,000 miles now
and still rides & looks like new, best investment I have made just
wonder why it took me so long to buy it.
Anyone looking for a great seat this is it

Just wanted to drop you a note to tell you about my new Ultimate seat.
I had ridden 1070 miles from Mount Airy Maryland to the Thunder Beach
Rally in Panama City. While at the rally I think I was the first person
to purchase a seat on Wednesday afternoon just prior to the rally opening
up. The seat was for my 2008 Road Glide. When you look at the over
all purchase thought process, I was really putting all my eggs in one
basket. Here I am, over a thousand mile from home, giving you my old
seat, and getting ready to try your seat for 1100 miles back, MAN I
HOPE THIS WORKS!!!!
Your seat performed way above my expectations! Normally I would expect
to have to put at least 1500 miles on a seat before it starts to become
acceptable. Yours was 100% right out of the box. Now, I did ride about
200 miles while I was in Panama City, but I was still facing almost 1100
miles to get home, on this NEW seat. MAN I HOPE THIS WORKS!!!!
I Rode 680 miles the first day from Panama City to Lumberton North Carolina.
No sweat, no cramps, no hot spots and no sore butt. Needless to say I was
amazed. I did the remaining 390 miles the next day with nare a problem
or discomfort.
Please convey my thanks to all the people at Ultimate for one great product
that really does work.
MAN, I'M GLAD THIS WORKED!!!
And, by the way, the two gentlemen that assisted me, while I was purchasing
the seat in Panama City, were great. No sales pressure, great install information
and help and genuine nice people.
Thanks again,
Norm Lewis

Hey Des!!!!!!
My wife and I rode 1800 miles from New York to Sturgis South Dakota on my 2000
Fatboy and the whole way it was wiggling and back pain. We were dreading the
trip home, I guess the cheap gimmick for this year was gel or air pads to put
on your seat because we ran into lots of people that were looking at them, and
$100. a piece to me isn't cheap when all it does is sit on the seat, where it
can fall off. Then we decided to look at some of the seats that were available.
We first stopped at the name brand guys, like ..... then we saw your tent and
decided to cross the street...
No high pressure sales, we sat on your demo seats that you had set up to try.....the
competition had theirs hanging, buy it and that was the only chance that you
got to sit on it, even Macy's let you sit in a chair before you buy it.
You told us that you would put the seat on my bike and go drive around, in fact
you asked us how long were we going to stay in Sturgis and ride it for a couple
of days, if I didn't like it you would take it off no charge. Well, we put on
about 300 mile in the next day and a half, the whole time I had kept asking my
wife how was the butt doing, no wiggling no pain... mine was doing great to.
To make a long story short we put on another 2400 mile on your seat with no pain
and lots of gain.
We have been telling everyone we run into about your seats!!!!!!!
Thanks again

I recently bought your midrider seat for my Harley Softail to replace my
stock seat. My friends and I just completed our "Wild West" Tour.
3800 miles, 8 states, and the 2008 Sturgis Rally in 11 days. What an
Awesome Ride !!!. Thanks to your Seat and Backrest, I feel better today
than if I had taken a 10 hour drive in my Super Duty Pickup. I will
be telling everyone who will listen about your seats. Thanks for your
dedication to the Bikers Cause... Carl Thompson Allen, TX

I purchased an Ultimate seat for
my Harley Davidson Ultra Classic from your company
at the Myrtle Beach Bike Rally last week. Before I
comment on the seat, let me give you a bit of history.
I put about 12,000 miles a year on my bike, and am
a big guy (6ft, 250 Lbs), so a comfortable seat is
mandatory. The stock seat that came with my bike just
didn’t cut it, and the first change I made was
to have a gel pack inserted into the seat. Well, $150
dollars later I felt no change in comfort and in fact
it was less comfortable. When I called the manufacturer
of the Gel Pack, I was given the run around and basically
told that they would do nothing for me – in other
words – ‘we got your money – see
you around’. My next attempt was to buy a “tall
rider” seat from my local Harley Davidson store.
It definitely was an improvement, but my butt still
hurt after 100 miles in the saddle. I must add that
when I inquired if the seat did not feel good after
a couple of hundred miles, could I return it, I was
told “NO”. They said I could install it
and ride around the block, but once I left the dealership,
it was mine.
So, now fast forward to Myrtle Beach
Bike Rally, 2008 – The
people were friendly, and after talking to them for
a few minutes, they made the “ULTIMATE” comment – “put
the seat on your bike and ride for 14 days – if
you don’t like it, we will take it back and refund
ALL your money” In fact they told me “put
the seat on your bike and ride it until tomorrow – we
won’t charge your credit card – come back
tomorrow and tell us how it feels” NO ONE IN
THE INDUSTRY THAT I KNOW OF OFFERS THAT KIND OF GUARRANTEE.
Well,
I put the seat on my bike – rode around
Myrtle Beach for the day, went back the next day and
bought it. I then put over 700 miles on the seat in
one and a half days coming back to Ohio.
My conclusions:
THIS IS THE BEST SEAT I HAVE EVER PUT MY BUTT ON.
I have already recommended this seat
to my friends, and will continue to do so. From my “buying experience” to
the easy adjustment of the back rest to the “ultimate” comfort
of the seat itself – Thank you.

I was a diehard Corbin fan for years
and have had nothing but their
seats on 3 different Softtails. I probably drove Des
crazy looking
at his stuff and
never buying and then he let me try one and that was
it.
I am 5' tall and I have lower back problems and I knew
the first 5
miles that this was the seat for me. I rode about 70
miles my first
test and was completely sold! It was a very hard decision
for me,
but I love Ultimate Seats now.

I
picked up a seat for my 2007 Heritage Softtail and
it was the best money spent on this bike. I can ride
for hours with no problems. Harley should learn from
these people.
